Quite a nice piece of work here, displaying the templates of well known websites with all graphical content removed. Millions of people inhabit through the same virtual landscape by proxy / Amazon / Google / Myspace, reproduced as a carbon copy on every computer monitor.
Myspace is a particularly clumsy designed site. It’s overloaded with so many advertisements, that it feels cheap and annoying. Web developers must realise that people are no longer willing to tolerate so much advertising. I rejected hotmail in favour of gmail, for precisely this reason. Gmail is a lean, stripped down service, full of cleaver touches. I ended up attributing so much more value to my email inbox as a means of communication, not a spam filled rubbish dump.
